9-10-07 Hi; and thanks for visiting this portion of our website. It is my intention to use this section as a log to document the construction of a Midget Mustang experimental aircraft. I will be scratch building this plane from plans with the serial number M1-1759 which were purchased in March of 2000. After looking over the plans for some time I decided that the plane did not fit my lifestyle at that time, but I felt that it would be a future project, Recently I decided to renew my interest in the project and have seriously began to work on it.
The plane was originally designed to be powered with a continental 0-200 engine producing about 100 horsepower. I plan to install a Corvair engine converted for aircraft use built closely to the recommendations of William Wynne, who has actively promoted the development of the Corvair as a reliable and relatively low cost alternative to traditional aircraft engines in the 100-110 horsepower range.
